Ten Years After

Today marks my tenth anniversary at AT&T. Who-hoo! I’ve traveled the company o’er - mostly Labs (att.com, search, content management, hosting, web apps) and Research (VoiceTone), then more recently the Public Relations, Brand and Corporate HQ territories (back to att.com and search, technical production, plus the wonderful wide world of web standards).

They must give out a medal for this stuff, right? Sure they do. At the ten year mark, employees receive a “10 year gold coin with AT&T logo mounted on a Rosewood base.” Here’s a picture:

The coin as advertised.

Now here it is again:

The actual coin, compared to a tissue box.

Turns out the original pic was actual size. I should’ve known from the small pouch! Hey, it’s the thought that counts.

Perhaps it’s time for another baton-passing exercise: “Anniversary Awards My Company Got Me.” Hahahaha - HAHAHA - ha HAAAAAA! Umm … perhaps comments to this post will suffice. Have at it.

Wow! Not even one of those Fischer-Price Power Wheels deals. (My five year-old son drives a purple Chevy Silverado. “Thank you grandma! Thank you grandpa!”)
